Carton sealing hot melt adhesive uses a hot-melt machine to melt the hot-melt adhesive into liquid, and then sends it to the surface of the carton through the throat and spray gun of the hot-melt machine, and the hot-melt adhesive is bonded after cooling. It can meet the requirements of carton sealing, and overcome the defects of traditional carton sealing form.

#1 Good packaging quality

Transport cartons must be able to withstand temperature, humidity changes, and rough handling, but it is difficult to meet this requirement with tape because of its poor bonding strength, low tensile strength, and poor adhesion to coated or oily cardboard.

The hot-melt adhesive has a good bonding force with wet objects and strong penetration. It simultaneously plays a physical and chemical bonding effect between corrugated paper and liner board. The overall strength of the bonded carton is enhanced, and the carton is not easy to deform and crack. In addition, the hot melt glue coating system can press glue on key parts of various shapes, such as the inner flap of a carton.

#2 High low temperature resistance

Secondly, self-adhesive tape has poor low temperature resistance and is easy to open in cold climates; hot melt adhesive has good low temperature resistance and can withstand low temperatures of -40°C. Moreover, the storage period of hot melt adhesive is as long as 2 years, the storage area is small, and there are no special storage requirements; while the storage period of tape is only half a year, and certain storage conditions are required, otherwise it will easily deteriorate.

#3 Strong anti-theft performance

Hot melt adhesive also provides a good anti-theft function. Since the adhesive penetrates into the corrugation, any attempt to open the carton will tear the fiber. The tape can be cut with a knife, and the contents can be removed unknowingly and sealed again.

#4 Beautiful appearance

Nowadays, merchants require packaging to convey the product while also conveying the product and company image through the design of the packaging pattern. Therefore, the fewer factors that hinder the appearance, the better. Adhesive tape often obstructs the image and interferes with the transmission of packaging information; while hot melt adhesive is glued between the flaps, which can provide a larger display space.

#5 low cost

Using hot melt adhesive to seal the box is fast, and the entire bonding process can be completed in only 1 to 3 seconds. It is suitable for mass production, with low energy consumption and low cost.

If hot-melt adhesive is used, adding glue during processing will not cause downtime; while replacing tape requires downtime. Moreover, partitions may not be installed in the box, and the sealing strength is greater than that when the tape is used to seal the box with the partitions inside, which can reduce the cost of the partitions.
